How can I let another person upload and update documents?
Sometimes you may need to give other members of your organization the ability to upload, update, or delete documents. To do this, you can give them access to your folder in Box.com, where we store all of the files that appear on RiskManager.net.
To allow another individual to upload, edit, and delete files on Box:
- Log in at Box.com with the email address and password associated with your Box.com account.
- Click into the folder you want to give someone access to. This is typically your top level folder, but could be any folder(s) of your choosing.
- Click Invite People.
- Enter the email addresses of the people you'd like to invite to this folder, and separate emails by commas. Generally, you'll want to give these users editor access, which will enable them to upload, edit and delete documents. Include a welcome message if you'd like and click send.
- Your staff or coworkers will receive an email letting them know they've been given access to this folder. If they haven't created a Box.com account yet, they'll be prompted to do so when they try to access the folder. If they already have a Box.com account registered with that email address, they'll automatically receive access to the folder and can go into it the next time they log in.
- If you need to, you can resend the invitation later. Go into the folder on Box and click the Pending button to see the option to resend the invite.
